Student Loans - Key to Success or Doorway to H - E - 'Double Toothpick'?

Student Loan - Should You?

All about Student Loans

News Alert!

Andrew Cuomo Busting Student Loan Companies for Unfair Business Practices

There are private loans online for students. This may be your best bet. Most people don't realize private loans can have lower interest rates than Federally subsidized loans.

You can look into these guys if you're already busting at the seams trying to keep up with your student loans -- but if you're a student loan virgin -- keep reading... should you really get youself in hock at all?

Reduce your student loan payments.

Getting a student loan can be the worst thing you've ever done to yourself.

I have just one piece of advice for you, if you are thinking about taking out a federally subsidized student loan --

Go to Student Loan Justice.org and read the stories - before you even think about taking out a loan.

So, without the benefit of a student loan where does that leave most of us? Yep. Working the late shift at Burger King. For a long time, a very long time.

I can't go to school without student loans. Tuition is too high, federal financial grant aid is too low. Even with my measly, low income jobs (three, count 'em, three) I wouldn't be able to pay the necessary expenses and tuition too. It's just not mathematically possible.

Sallie Mae is Smokin'

I hear that same story repeated a million times a day. We are all in the same horribly, sinking ship, my friends.

This leaves me feeling a great unease. Not really! I'm in a complete panic!

The stories on Student Loan Justice, make me feel angry, hopeless, frustrated and sad. We live in a great country, but take away opportunities for a higher education and what kind of country will we have in ten, twenty years. A very sad country.

I'd like to hear how financing higher education works in your country, wherever you live, in the United States, Sweden, Australia, Brazil - wherever - the good - the bad - and how it's working for you.
