This is why joining Fast Web (the scholarship search engine) is definitely worth it.
1. You get a tidy list of at least one hundred scholarships (more if you take your time filling out their forms) specifically geared towards your eligibility.
2. The scholarships are sortable by deadlines, amounts, college and type.
3. There are helpful articles handy.
Fast Web is a nice one stop shop to keep all your scholarship efforts in one place. They have a calendar, a place to write notes (right next to any scholarship you are interested in) and a to do list. It keeps you organized.
Plus, any new scholarship opportunities get added to your list right away - you don't have to do anything - they just appear.
So, you didn't think all this was free, did you?
ufda.
It's not. You pay, and pay and pay - because Fast Web makes their money from advertising you will be absolutely bombarded by offers, and insterstitial ads and offers of every kind.
The solution is easy. All you have to do is click NO THANKS and move on. Be careful they change the format on you - so sometimes you have to check a box and then click SUBMIT. Other times you just have to click NO THANKS centered at the bottom of the page.
Once you are into your Fast Web account, the ads start dwindling to a bearable degree. Until then - expect a blizzard. It's not all bad - I actually was interested in one of their ads and clicked "YES, send me more information". So while the ads are tremendously annoying - at least they are all related to a topic you are interested in - scholarships and school money.
Try it. Let me know what you think.
