Salaries increased across the board for professors and adjunct professors at both two year and four year colleges during 2013.

Median base pay increased 2% for higher-ed professionals at two year institutions and 2.1% at four year institutions.

Administrators saw a 2.5% jump in salary at public institutions and a slightly lower 2.3% for those in private institutions.

At the same time, there was a 2.9% increase in tuition and fees for in-state students at public four year colleges and a 3.5% increase for in-state students at public two year colleges.

For profit colleges had a 0.5% increase in tuition and fees.
